Emergency Evacuation Benefit: only members with Accident and Emergency Cover have access to this benefit. Emergency transportation services will only be covered in cases of accident and emergency (heart attack (Myocardial Infarction) and stroke (Cerebrovascular Accident)) events that require immediate medical treatment. The member will be assessed at the scene of the accident or emergency before a decision is made to transfer the member to a private hospital or State facility, based on the limits that apply. In the case of medical emergencies that do not fit the qualifying criteria, members need to be transported, stabilised and treated at a State facility.
